The varieties that positioned Colombian coffee as the
worldwide finest, developed with more detail than
ever before

COLOMBIAN VARIETY

HUILA, COLOMBIA
1400 - 1800 MASL

Colombian Variety obtains its name for being the symbol of Colombian coffee since it was created from an investigation carried out by Cenicafe. They developed a seed resistant to a disease called “Roya,” a high risk to the national coffee production.

With the passing of generations, this variety has been improved until reaching cup profiles that have positioned Colombian coffee as one of the best coffees for decades. Today we can obtain a coffee with an excellent cup profile that in history holds the secret to the salvation of Colombian coffee growing.

CATURRA

HUILA, COLOMBIA
1400 - 1650 MASL

Caturra is one of the main varietals produced in Colombia; its size has been one of its main strengths, as it is a small plant of good quality and medium maintenance. In Colombia, a large percentage of the production of specialty coffees and exotic varietals are produced in micro-lots, which means that the average coffee grower in Colombia does not have enough space for production, which has led the Caturra to position itself as a beautiful plant for cultivation in small plots.
